Ep. 1 What Have You Been Playing

玩家们好，我是你们的主持人小扎老师（Zach）。如果你喜欢本节目的话，请您赶快上微博关注@拉条zgilly-unheard。随时给我发个微博，不要害羞哦！ 【Court Date – ABSRDST】 Zach：大家好，欢迎收听Unheard English，我电台频道的英语节目。大家以后可以叫我小扎老师。我们今天主要讲一个很重要的问题：what have you been playing lately？不过，老师上课之前，我们先听听一首歌叫做“Court Date”来自ABSRDST。玩家们，准备好戴你们的英语帽子，歌曲结束了我们就开始学习！ 【Court Date】Fade up Zach：Alright, I am PUMPED! Let‘s do this! 【Jingle】【Boss Battle 1】 Zach：哎，刚刚说的那句话是什么意思呢？I am pumped 就是表示我兴奋极了，比方说，你即将去锻炼锻炼，一个人问你 are you ready to exercise? 你准备好开始锻炼吗？你就可以回答 I‘m pumped！再举个例子，也可以说this game is going to be awesome，I’m pumped for this game 这个游戏肯定会很牛，我等不及了！ Zach：今天我们要谈的话题比较开放式，就是这个问题what have you been playing lately。这个问题呢，是个很好的方法跟人家搭讪啊，就可以打破冷场，英文我们说break the ice。 Zach：首先我要说：千万不要问别人what do you play。我们听听一个anti-example，反的例子： 【Scott Pilgrim vs。The World】- What do you play？ Zach：听懂了吗？ 让小扎老师再来重复一下吧: 男孩：Hi。 女孩：Hi。Um，what do you play？ 男孩：Wow，um，Zelda。。。Tetris。。。That’s kind of a big question。 Zach：你们懂不懂这段对话中的错误在哪里吗？错就错在那个女孩的问题！那个女孩直接就问问男孩 “你玩什么游戏”。想象一下：如果你去问一个FOODIE, 吃货”what food do you eat 你吃什么食物？“ 他会怎么反应呢？再比如说，你去问问一个书呆子“what books do you read？”所以这个问题实在太大了！如果你是个认真的玩家的话，你什么游戏都会玩，对不对！所以，我们今天要练习一句更具体的问题：what have you been playing lately？你最近玩什么游戏？ Zach：让小扎老师来给你们听一个范例。 Zach 1：Hey, Zach, what have you been playing lately? Zach 2: Oh, lately? Nothing special. I can’t stop playing this game on my phone, it’s called Clash: Royale. It’s a simple game, but it’s really fun to play for ten or fifteen minutes at a time. I have also been playing Final Fantasy 10, but it’s such a long game, I feel like I’ll never beat it. How about you? Zach：好了，想重复听的同学就可以倒回去再听一遍。我们现在要集中注意力了解那段话中的几个关键词。 Zach：第一个是nothing special。这句话非常的有用。一个人问你 what are you doing，就可以回答nothing special。也可以用这句话回答人给你打招呼：hey，what‘s going on？或者what have you been up to lately，你最近忙什么？oh，nothing special。 Zach：还有对话中的at a time，it’s really fun to play for ten or fifteen minutes at a time。这个简直是意思，你每次玩这个游戏只会玩大概15分钟游戏。再举个例子，可以说I usually read two or three books at a time。在这个句子里，意思就是在同一段时间里看几本书，不是只看一本。I can only read for thirty minutes at a time。在这句话里，at a time的意思是跟我说的范例一样，我只能一次看30分钟书。 Zach：最后的关键词就是I feel like I‘ll never，范例中我说过I feel like I‘ll never beat it。这个短语表示我就觉得我不能完成这个游戏。再举个例子，I feel like I will never get used to speaking Chinese。哈哈，那句话真有道理! Zach：小扎老师再给你们说说有关键词的一个例子！不过开始前，让我们先来仔细听几个生词。 Battle system – 战斗系统 – Battle system Enemy – 敌人 – Enemy，复数 Enemies Defeat – 战胜 – Defeat Weapon – 武器 – Weapon According to – 根据 – According to Give up – 放弃 – Give up Progress – 进步 – Make progress 取得进步 Zach：This game is so hard! I feel like I will never get used to the battle system. Right now I can fight two or three enemies at a time, but I can’t defeat the boss at the end of the level. I got a really good weapon, but according to my friend, it’s nothing special. I might give up on this game if I can’t make any progress later tonight.
