In the midst of the flowers sits a sole jar of wine, I drink from that which is lonesomely mine. I toast to the moon who joins me whither, My shadow proceeds to make us three thither. The ways of men the moon can only feign, and my shadow follows me in vain. But they will be my mates today, As I rejoice and drink away. I sing to the moon who just cannot go, When I dance, my shadow shimmies high and low. We party in wakefulness, till quite in a daze, We three go our separate ways. Our friendship will forever last, We'll meet again in the heavens vast.
