LESSON 21 My Mom, the Student My mom used to work in a hospital every day. She worked in the kitchen and cooked healthy meals for the people in the hospital. My mom liked working at the hospital. She liked seeing sick people get better. She started to think that maybe she could help sick people get better, too. My mom made a plan. She was going to go back to school. Now my mom and I are both students. We study hard. My mom still works in the kitchen at the hospital, but not every day. When she finishes her school, my mom will be a nurse. I am very proud of my mom.
