Anna Walker is an award winning children's book illustrator and author based in Melbourne, Australia. She creates illustrations with a wide variety of mediums, such as watercolour, pencil and collage. Her book Florette was chosen by the New York Times as one of the top 10 best illustrated books of 2018. Mr Huff, won the 2016 CBCA Book of the Year for Early Childhood and was shortlisted in the 2016 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. In this episode, Anna talked about her love for handcrafted work, how her childhood experience influences her creative work, and the story behind Florette. She also shared with us how she cultivated creativity in her children.
