介绍:
The latest offering from J.J. Abrams, a thriller called '10 Cloverfield Lane' opens in North American theaters today. Abrams, the producer, director and writer behind blockbusters like 'Mission Impossible' and 'Star Wars,' says his team aims to keep moviegoers on the edge of their seats. "It's as much a thriller as it is a horror movie. There are some moments that are jump scares but what I prefer is a story that kind of digs deeper and kind of gets under your skin and is creepier and more frightening than it is just scary. It's always fun to have the sort of 'boo' moment but you can't do too many of those before they start to feel just like a gimmick." The film follows the story of a woman who survives a car accident and awakens to find herself being held captive by two men. Actor John Goodman plays one of the men, who claims the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack. Abrams says audiences can expect the veteran actor in a new, creepy light. "He's such a likable actor that the idea that Howard would not be an obvious serial killer but someone you actually would want to hang out with felt like a potentially inspired casting and when he accepted the job and we were lucky enough to get him it was wonderful watching his choices because he makes it as hard as it is for Michelle to pass judgment." Being the directorial debut of Dan Trachtenberg, '10 Cloverfield Lane' also stars Mary Winstead and John Gallagher.
