Strawberry Music Festival, the largest event of its kind in China, will come to Beijing and Shanghai during the May Day holiday.
Organized by indie music label Modernsky, this year's Beijing event will be held at Grand Epoch City in Langfang City, Hebei province, 50 kilometers away from downtown Beijing.
For the first time, a ten-thousand square meter tent area will be marked out for Beijing fans to camp.
Shanghai Strawberry Music Festival is set to kick off at the city's World Expo Park.
The lineup for the festival is supposed to be released by the end of March.
But Modernsky's founder Shen Lihui promised hundreds of bands from home and abroad will perform at the festival.
Launched eight years ago, the annual music festival is hailed as a "celebration for young people, who love music, fashion and outdoor experiences."
It has expanded its reach to second- and third-tier cities across China, such as Xiamen in Fujian province and Changchun in Jilin province.
Founded in 1997, Modern Sky is home to over 100 indie bands including New Pants and Queen Sea Big Shark.
The Strawberry Music Festival will run from April 30th to May 2nd in Beijing and Shanghai.
