There are no more than two kinds of tragedies, the fruits of tragedy thrown out by others, or the seeds of tragedy planted by themselves. The latter is apparently acknowledged by the hero——an unintentional fire completely changed his life.
Once in a while he can't breathe in the deep sea of grief, occasionally surfacing, take a few deep breaths. While for the rest of his life, he is going to live in the sorrow, in the endless remorse and regret that he could not come out.
“Manchester” may be too sprawling a vision for all arthouse tastes, but it will never disappoint anyone who has seen it. This Friday, let's step into the tragic life of an ordinary people——a story that could happen in every corner of the world. No dramatic reversal is the cruelty of real life.
