介绍:
问题:Do you think expensive gifts are always more valuable than the cheap ones? If you define the value of a gift based on its monetary worth, then obviously yes. But I think that’s a rather shallow way of determining the value of a gift. I’d say that first of all, the value of a gift depends on how well it matches with the recipient’s needs or desires. If the gift isn’t something that the recipient appreciates, then even if it is worth a king’s ransom, it’s still no good at all to the receiver. Another thing that can add value to a gift is the amount of effort you spend on putting together the gift. If you spent a long time on making the present, then that would show your sincerity as well. Like if you spent a whole day making a cake for your friend’s birthday, then as long as the cake isn’t hideous, your friend would be very happy. So the idea is to find out what the person likes or needs, and make the present yourself accordingly. 重点词汇 monetary adj. shallow adj. recipient n. sincerity n. hideous adj. 金钱上的 浅显的 接受者 诚意 极为丑陋的 worth a king’s ransom no good put together the idea is to 值一大笔钱 没用 组装,制作 重点是... 那么这就是我们今天所有的内容,今天讲的Part3问题是,贵的礼物一定就更有价值吗? 关注超级学长,更多雅思口语音频等你来听!
