Keep in mind what I'm looking for and try every chance-Jasmine Wen

I am always trying to look for internship opportunities.  No any exciting news for last semester.  But this semester I will go to work in a downtown hotel for 10 hours per week as an intern.  It's not a very fancy hotel, just normal and old.....and it's not paid.  But I still value this opportunity very much since this would be my first job in the industry in the States  and I hope I can get as much as possible from this experience.  I'm also keeping my eyes on summer internships.  I hope I can find somewhere in California or Florida, as these places are famous tourism destinations and have a lot of opportunities for international students.   And I am going to answer your two questions.....    1. For master applicants, if you are admitted without financial aids, it's worthy trying to write to the professor who potentially will like you or the director of the department to ask for financial aids.  Most of the case they will do something for you, if they really want you to go there.  Maybe at last you still can't get full aid, but a few scholarships is better than nothing.  It all depends on how much they like you and also, how much you like them and how much you are willing to put efforts to make sure you get the best result.    2. As regard to future career challenges, I don't think I am the expert to ask :) I am still worried about my future career myself..... But I can tell you what I am doing now.  I tell everyone (I mean a lot of people) I am a master student looking for industry careers instead of Ph. D.  Sometimes people will respond with a contact they have in this industry. Professors are valuable resources.  Even someone who sit on the same table with me in a banquet.  What I really mean is, keep in mind what I'm look for and try every chance.
