1.chronicle [音标:'krɔnik ] n. 1.
[例句:]One of the earliest accounts of King Arthur occurs in a 12th-century chronicle of the kings of Britain.
2.anachronism [音标:ə'nækrənizm ] n.
[例句:]It is an anachronism to say that William Shakespeare “typed” his manuscripts.
3.aristocracy [音标:æris'tɔkrəci ] n.
aristo(最好)+cracy(统治)→最好的统治→贵族政府
[例句:]When the Revolution of 1789 began, many members of the French aristocracy fled to other lands.
