International Labor Day, also known as "May Day" and "International Workers' day", is a national holiday in more than 80 countries in the world. It's set on May 1 every year. It is a festival shared by working people all over the world,but not all countries set may first as labor day, and those countries that have the same may first celebration have different ways and habits.国际劳动节又称“五一国际劳动节”、“国际示威游行日”，是世界上80多个国家的全国性节日。定在每年的五月一日。它是全世界劳动人民共同拥有的节日，不过，并不是所有国家都将5月1日定为劳动节，那些同过“五一”的国家，具体的庆祝方式和习惯也大不相同。比如说中国，中国政务院于1949年12月将5月1日定为法定的劳动节，当时全国放假一天。之后，五一放假时间也经过多次改变，由起初的一天调整为调休七天再到现在的调休三天。在五一期间，举国欢庆，举行各种庆祝活动和文体娱乐活动，对有突出贡献的劳动者进行表彰，另外，五一也成为“黄金周”，成为人们外出游玩的高峰期。

俄罗斯
Russia attaches great importance to May 1st Labor Day. On May 1st, the whole country will have a day off and organize various celebrations, or hold mass processions. The processions pass through the main streets and squares of the city.At the same time, various clubs will also hold a variety of activities, with a strong festival atmosphere.俄罗斯对五一劳动节是比较重视的，5月1日全国放假一天，并组织各种庆祝活动，或者举行群众性游行，游行队伍穿过城市的主要街道、广场，最后在古老宽阔的中心广场举行大型的集会和庆典。与此同时，各种俱乐部也会举行各种丰富多彩的娱乐活动，节日气氛相当浓厚。
德国
For Germany, may day is just a small festival. In fact, this day is also the Valentine's day in Germany, so there is no Labor Day celebration in Germany, instead of Valentine's day. On May 1, many places will set up a "Valentine's tree", where single men and women write their wish cards and hang them on the tree, praying to get their sweetheart's love.对于德国来说，五一劳动节只是一个普通的小节日。其实，这一天也是德国本土的情人节，所以这一天德国并没有什么劳动节的庆祝活动，取而代之的是情人节活动，在5月1日这一天，很多地方会立“情人树”，单身男女写愿望卡挂在树上，祈祷得到心上人的爱恋。
5月1日是法国的劳动节，也是法国的铃兰节，全国放假一天，同样也会进行各种游行活动。不同的是，这一天各大城市处处卖铃兰花，人们会买几束代表幸运、幸福、希望的铃兰花送给自己、爱人或者亲朋好友。
