欢迎关注遇见英文公众号，收看更多精美图文 Kitten's First Full Moon 小猫咪追月亮 It was kitten’s first full moon. 这是小猫咪第一次见到满月。 When she saw it, she thought, 看着圆圆的月亮，她心想， There’s a little bowl of milk in the sky. 那是一碗挂在天上的牛奶吧。 And she wanted it. 她好想喝呀。 So she closed her eyes and stretched her neck and opened her mouth and licked. 于是她闭上了眼睛，伸长了脖子，张开了嘴巴，用舌头一舔。 But Kitten only ended up with a bug on her tongue. 可是小猫咪舔到的，只是一只小飞虫。 Poor Kitten! 可怜的小猫咪！ Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting. 那一小碗牛奶还挂在天上，静静地等着。 So she pulled herself together and wiggled her bottom and sprang from the top step of the porch. 于是她弓起身子，扭了扭屁股，从门廊前的台阶上一跃而起。 But Kitten only tumbled – 但是小猫咪跌倒了 bumping her nose and banging her ear and pinching her tail. 撞到了她的鼻子、耳朵，夹到了自己的尾巴。 Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting. 那一小碗牛奶还挂在天上，静静地等着。 So she chased it – 于是她追了过去—— down the sidewalk, through the garden, 跑下人行道，穿过花园， past the field, and by the pond. 经过田野，来到了池塘边。 But Kitten never seemed to get closer. 可是小猫咪好像离那碗牛奶还是那么远。 Poor Kitten! 可怜的小猫咪！ Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting. 那一小碗牛奶还挂在天上，静静地等着。 So she ran to the tallest tree she could find, 于是她跑向那棵最高的树 and she climbed and climbed and climbed to the very top. 她爬呀爬，爬呀爬，一直爬到了树顶上。 But Kitten still couldn’t reach the bowl of milk, 可是她还是够不找那碗牛奶 and now she was scared. 而且现在她感到害怕了。 Poor Kitten! 可怜的小猫咪！ What could she do! 她该怎么办呀！ Then, in the pond, Kitten saw another bowl of milk. 然后，她在池塘里，看到了另一碗牛奶。 And it was bigger. 更大的一碗牛奶！ What a night! 多么美好的一晚啊！ So she raced down the tree and raced through the grass and raced to the edge of the pond. 于是她冲下了树，冲过草地，又一口气跑到了池塘边 She leaped with all her might – 她使出全身力气，纵身一跃 —— Poor Kitten! 可怜的小猫咪！ She was wet and sad and tired and hungry. 她现在又湿又难过又累又饿。 So she went back home – 她只好回家了—— and there was a great big bowl of milk on the porch 就在家门口的门廊上，有大大的一碗牛奶 just waiting for her. 正等着她。 Lucky Kitten! 幸运的小猫咪！
