In our last lesson we looked at the pronunciation of ／ɑr／ and ／ɝr／.
上一节课我们看了 ／ɑr／ and ／ɝr／的发音。
Today we will practice the pronunciation of ／ʌ／ again. For example: Shut
今天我们要再练习／ʌ／ 的发音。比如说：Shut
Everyone, please say this with me: Shut
大家跟我一起说: Shut
The pronunciation of ／ʌ／ is almost the same as ／ɝr／, but when you pronounce ／ʌ／ your mouth should be more open. There is no ‘R' at the end of sound.
／ʌ／ 的发音和／ɝr／的发音差不多。但是发／ʌ／的时候把你的嘴张开一点。后面没有 R 的声音。
First say ／ʌ／. Then say ／ɝr／
先说／ʌ／, 然后说／ɝr／.
We will now look at some words and sentences. Some of the words have ／ʌ／ and some of them have ／ɝr／. Please listen carefully. After I finish reading, please repeat after me.
我们现在要看一些单词和句子。有的单词有 ／ʌ／，有的有／ɝr／。你们先好好听。我读完后你们重复读。

He shut the door on the shirt.
Bud 花蕾
Bird 鸟
The bird sat on the bud.

Don’t burn the bun.
Gull 海鸥
Girl 女孩子／姑娘
That girl has a gull
