Anne-Sophie Mutter 出生于1963 年德国。
她从5岁开始习琴。在她13岁那一年被 Herbert von Karajan 发掘，并邀请她与柏林爱乐乐团一同演奏。
Mutter第一次公众演出在Salzburg Festival,与English Chamber Orchestra. 随后，Mutter的第一张专辑发布了，当时她仅有15岁。

她讲到，在将近的十年的时间里，市场追逐更多的是那些响亮的，而对于音乐细节的处理方面大多是粗糙的，缺少了对音乐处理的那种细微，细致的敏感度。
