介绍:
A lot of Chinese people would affectionately call you, in Chinese, ‘Auntie May’. That&`&s really a kind of a call for chinese you’re one of the members of the family. Do you like that? Oh, thank you. Thank you very much indeed. I’m honoured by that, thank you. Thank you very much for having this interview here at the Bank of China. Welcome to China, at this we call it a special time of the golden era. What is your expectation of this visit to China? It&`&s great to be here in China. I&`&m really enjoy being in this beautiful country. You&`&re right. We have a golden era of UK-China relations. What I&`&m seeing from this visit and what I think will come out of the visit is being able to develop those links between UK and China.Links on trade of course and business relations. But also the opportunity for people to people links, education, for example. So we hope to develop this golden era of UK-China relations. But I think we can build on it still further and enhance the links between our two countries. We&`&re both global countries with global outlook and as the United Kingdom is leaving the European Union, we&`&re going to be more out with looking. And looking to enhance our relationships around the world. And this relationship with China is an important part of that. Madame prime Minister, last year, toursits from China to UK increased almost about fifty percent. Tell our Chinese potential trouists, is it safe to go to the UK? Yes it is, and we do put a lot of effort into ensuring security and stability in the United Kingdom. It is safe, and it is a great country to visit. China is a great country for the UK visitors to come and see. But the UK has such fantastic heritage as well and some wonderful sights to visit. So come to London, come to the UK, come to see every part of the United Kingdom.
