All: OH! I know! Taiwan! Host: Yep!And as you know, Morning and I went there last year as exchange-students. I really miss the nice people there and the beautiful scenery. Free talk:Have you guys ever been to Taiwan? What’s you first impression towards it? Host: Today, Travel will recommend a one-day tour of Taipei for you guys~~Are you ready? All: Let’s go~~I can’t wait. 敏敏:In the morning ,you can go to Yangmingshan National Park! Especially in February ,you will encounter cherry blossom. Our First station--Yangmingshan National Park Yangmingshan National Park is one of the nine national parks in Taiwan, located between Taipei and New Taipei City. The districts that house parts of the park grounds include Taipei's Beitou and Shilin Districts; and New Taipei's Wanli, Jinshan and Sanzhi Districts. The National Park is famous for its cherry blossoms, hot springs, sulfur deposits, fumaroles, venomous snakes, and hiking trails, including Taiwan's tallest dormant volcano, Seven Star Mountain (1,120 m). When talking about hot springs, you can’t miss Beitou Hot Spring Museum. 耀华:So the secondstation——Beitou Hot Spring Museum. The museum building was originally built in 1913 during the Japanese rule of Taiwan. It was initially built as Beitou Public Bathhouse, the largest bathhouse in East Asia at that time. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, the facility underwent several transformations. The museum is a Victorian-style building which was built with red bricks and wooden weatherboards. The museum is divided into two stories. The first floor houses the public bath which is no longer in use along with the introduction of hot springs history, hot spring facilities, appliances used in hot springs, Beitou stones and the bathing space. The second floor houses six different exhibition areas, including Beitou history, lookout balcony, Taiwanese Hollywood, exhibition area B, multimedia room and Tatami floor recreational area. 敏敏:Wow,that’s so cool~~I never been to such kind of museum before. I wonder whether it’s convenient to get there. 佳琪:The museum is accessible within walking distance east from Xinbeitou Station of the Taipei Metro. And when it’sat noon, you can taste the hot spring foodthere~~ After lunchyou can walk to Third station--Taipei Public Library Beitou Branch. It is a two-storey building and it is notable as being constructed to be an eco-friendly green building, in which the building was designed to curb water and electricity consumption. The building uses large windows to reduce the consumption of lighting electricity. The roof was designed to be partially covered with photovoltaic cells to generate electricity and also designed to capture rain water to be stored and used to flush toilets. Besides, the books there are various and you can find the seats insides or outsides. So if you want to have sunbath while reading and have a short afternoon nap , that must be a wonderful place. You can really enjoy your reading time there. When it comes to the afternoon, you can go to our Fourth station --Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf. 敏敏:Tamsui Fisherman's Wharfis a very scenic spot at the western tip of Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Its predecessor was the "Tamsui Second Fishing Port" on the right bank of the Tamsui River estuary, an important fishing harbor in the early history of north Taiwan. The Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf is well known by its beautiful sunset and fresh seafood. While having sightseeing and leisure facilities, it still holds its functionality as a harbor for fishing boats. Host: Do you guys know? The sunset there is really amazing~~Especial view from Tamsui Lover's Bridge~~ 耀华:Yes~You may appreciate the sunset from Tamsui Lover's Bridge: Lover Bridge of Tamsui, a white-colored Cable-stayed bridge, derived its name since it was started on February 14, 2003, Valentine's Day. The total length is approximately 196 meters and the walk across takes approximately 3 minutes. Host:In the late night, you can go back to Yangmingshan.I do love the view from PCCU, where I have studied there for four months. You must shocked by the Night view of Taipei. You canalso choose our last station--Taipei 101, the landmark of Taiwan. Taipei 101 features an Indoor Observation deck (88th and 89th floor) and an Outdoor Observation deck (91st floor). Both offer 360-degree views and attract visitors from around the world. The Indoor Observatory stands 383.4 m above ground, offering a comfortable environment, large windows with UV protection, recorded voice tours in eight languages, and informative displays and special exhibits. Here one may view the skyscraper's main damper, which is the world's largest and heaviest visible damper, and buy food, drinks and gift items. Two more flights of stairs take visitors up to the Outdoor Observatory. The Outdoor Observatory, at 391.8 mabove ground, is the second-highest observation deck ever provided in a skyscraper and the highest such platform in Taiwan.
