And we have agreed to promote healthy and stable development in all areas including trilateral cooperation and bilateral relations. We agreed to strive together for peace and stability in the region and also for regional economic integration[区域性经济一体化] in Northeast Asia." "A good political mutual trust is an important foundation for deepening development[深化发展], and it forms the premise of[…的前提] common ground[共同点] on major issues, including historical issues[历史问题]. All the three countries should also take the responsibility of safeguarding regional stability[维护区域稳定], particularly peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula[朝鲜半岛], so as to build a pleasant environment for regional security and development." He added that the three sides should keep a firm grasp[抓紧/牢牢把握] on the general direction[大方向] of their relations, so as to push forward their cooperation[推进合作] and allow their just-resumed[刚刚恢复的] trilateral summit[三国峰会] to proceed regularly. In the meantime, Premier Li also suggested that the three nations should maintain regional financial stability[维护地区金融稳定], and expressed hopes that the free trade agreement[自由贸易协定] signed by China and South Korea in June could take effect[生效,奏效] as soon as possible. China will facilitate negotiations[促进…谈判] of the trilateral FTA[Free Trade Agreement] and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership[RCEP区域全面经济伙伴关系] in a bid to promote regional integration[区域一体化]. For her part, South Korean President Park Geun-hye stressed the importance of maintaining regional peace and stability. "We reconfirmed that maintaining peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula corresponds to mutual interests[共同利益] of three countries and that we must adhere to[遵循,依附,坚持] the aim of denuclearising[无核化] North Korea, and we agreed to strive together[共同努力] for the quick resumption[迅速恢复] of meaningful six-party talks[六方会谈]." A joint declaration[联合声明] released after the trilateral summit says the three countries reaffirmed[重申] their commitment to hold the trilateral meeting on a regular basis[经常; 例行的; 有规律的]. It also says the three countries have agreed to expand people-to-people exchanges[人与人之间的交流] so as to dispel[消除] negative national public sentiment[消极的国家公众情绪] among the three Northeast Asian neighbors. The China-Japan-South Korea summit had taken place annually from 2008 to 2012 before it bogged down[陷泥沼的;停滞不前的] due to Japanese provocations[挑衅;激怒] on historical and territorial issues that angered both China and South Korea. The next China-Japan-South Korea summit is expected to be held next year in Japan. For CRI, I'm Xie Cheng. From CRIENGLISH.com
