介绍:
Energy-Dense Diets Linked to Obesity-Related Cancers Among Women A recent study, published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, suggests that energy-dense diets may increase the risk of obesity-related cancers in women, even among those of normal weight.  There is strong scientific evidence that having obesity can cause at least 12 types of cancer. Dietary energy density is the ratio of a food’s calories to its weight. “It provides a measure of overall dietary quality,” says Cynthia Thomson, Ph.D., RDN, FTOS, a professor of Health Promotion Sciences at the University of Arizona in Tucson, and the lead author on the study. Energy-dense diets include significant amounts of foods such as desserts, deep-fried foods, creamy sauces, and cheese. Low energy density diets predominantly include foods such as fruits, vegetables, fish, and legumes. These findings suggest that energy-dense diets are a risk, even in those at a normal weight. A possible mechanism is that the consumption of energy-dense foods may promote inflammation and metabolic disorders, such as diabetes. Having diabetes increases a person’s risk of cancer.
