A Parent's Prayer （一位母亲的自诉）

感谢里昂之声 A Parent's Prayer 一位母亲的祈祷 David Axton 大卫•阿克斯顿 Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my sanity to keep. For if some peace I do not find, I'm pretty sure I'll lose my mind. 现在我要躺下睡觉 我祈祷我通情达理明智如一 因为一旦我无法心平气和 我笃定我一定会失去理智 I pray I find a little quiet, Far from the daily family riot. May I lie back and not have to think About what they're stuffing down the sink, 我希望我可以找寻一片净土 远离生活家庭琐事 躺在那里不用去想 孩子们又在拿什么填堵水槽 Or who they're with, or where they're at And what they're doing to the cat. I pray for time all to myself (did something just fall off a shelf?) 跟谁在一起或是在哪里 或者又在怎么玩弄猫咪 我想时间都属于我 （刚才有东西从架子上摔落嘛？） To cuddle in my nice, soft bed (Oh no, another goldfish--dead!) Some silent moments for goodness sake (Did I just hear a window break?) 缩在我这温暖柔软的被窝里 （我的妈呀！又死了一条金鱼？） 上帝让我安静的躺一会儿吧 （我刚才是听到窗户玻璃碎的声音吗？） And that I need not cook or clean (well heck, I've got the right to dream) Yes now I lay me down to sleep, I pray my wits about me keep, But as I look around I know, I must have lost them long ago! 不用做饭洗衣 （奇了怪了，我也曾有做梦的权利啊） 对我现在要躺下睡觉了 多希望我智慧如初 可是环顾四周我知道 我早就丢失了智慧
