Hello everyone and welcome to PacaTalk! How's everybody? Today we're going to talk about ice-cream! Summer is coming and I'm pretty sure those of you whose are living in the south have already embraced summer! So for the hot summer day, ice cream, of course, is a must! Do you know what's your favorite ice cream flavor in English?
Alright, let's start from the classics. Vanilla（香草）, chocolate and milk, these are the most common flavors you can find in the stores. I don't think someone would resent vanilla ice-cream, right? Then we have coffee flavor! I have had different types of coffee ice cream before, the usual one does have cream added in, but some hand-made ice-cream shop might make ice cream with black coffee only and it stands more on the ice side instead of the cream side. I don't know how they make it but it really tastes awesome if the coffee is of good quality. Next we have strawberry ice-cream! I personally can't stand strawberry ice-cream with artificial flavor and color（添加剂，色素，香精）, but the ice-cream made with fresh strawberry is a whole new story. The color is usually dark pink and you could find some real strawberries in the ice-cream which is heavenly tasty!
I just had some Tiramisu（提拉米苏） ice-cream yesterday, from an Italian hand-made ice-cream shop. I'm a big fan of hand-made ice cream, especially the kinds that have cake bites added in. The one I had was stuffed with soaked Tiramisu. It just made my day brighter. There was one day I had some passion fruit（百香果） with cheese cake ice-cream and it was probably one of the best flavors I have ever had. The passion fruit is sour and the cheese cake is sweet and soft. I mean, what more can you expect? There is another popular flavor in the Italian ice-cream shops, you might want to take notes of this: the pistachio（开心果） flavor. It looks as green as matcha（抹茶） ice-cream but it tastes just like the nuts flavor ice cream. In this case, pistachio.
If you prefer fruit ice-cream, sorbet（果汁雪糕） is a great choice. It's made of juice, fresh fruit and water. It's more like frozen ice instead of ice-cream. You can even make it at home. Any fruit flavor works: strawberry, mango, raspberry（覆盆子）, blueberry, orange, lemon… it's a super refreshing dessert for summer.
Then there's fro-yo: frozen yogurt（酸奶冰激凌）! It's one of my favorite. It usually does not have much fat, so if you're on diet and are desperate for some iced dessert, frozen yogurt might be your best choice. And it tastes awesome! If you love yogurt, you're gonna love fro-yo too! It's a little bit pricey, compared to normal ice cream, but it's healthier, too. For me the best part of eating frozen yogurt is that you can build everything yourself! Usually for the frozen yogurt shops, you can build your own fro-yo by adding different flavors into your bowl and put toppings like gummy bear（小熊软糖）, marshmallow（棉花糖）, confetti sprinkles（彩色糖豆）, mochi（糯米团子）, fruit bites and dressings like chocolate sauce, hazelnut sauce, jam or whipped cream（打发鲜奶油）. I'm drooling（流口水） now, it sounds fantastic, right? Find a frozen yogurt shop and go with your friends! You're gonna have a great time there.
