"So, both of you missed school today,"says Mum.

"The teacher-parent meeting days are from today until Wednesday. Don't you remember, Mum?" Frosty replies.

“Oh, in that case, there's actually no school. I should check the school calendar more often. Thanks for reminding me,” Mum says. At the beginning of January, April and October every year, parents have a chance to meet teachers to share information about their child. There are no classes during those short periods.

I move my eyes away from Frosty, look down at my slippers and keep silent. I know Frosty won't give up, and I never doubt her resolution to find the answer.

The wind blows out the candles, and the moonlight shines an excellent white light into the room. An inspiring idea is knocking at the door of Frosty's mind.
