The Very Hungry Caterpillar

今天要读的书是卡爷爷的代表作The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 点播者 这本绘本讲的是一只好饿的毛毛虫的故事，它从星期一吃穿了一个苹果开始，一直吃到星期六，最后吃坏了肚子。然后毛毛虫吃了一片绿叶，舒服多了，它钻进自己织成的茧，最后变成了美丽的蝴蝶。其实这本书家喻户晓的程度，让苏妈觉得都不用介绍了。在录这段音频前，看了一些作者Eric Carle的访谈视频，对这本绘本又有了更多喜爱甚至是敬畏。卡爷爷已经八十多岁了，还创作不辍，他在访谈里有几句话让苏妈印象深刻：“我觉得《好饿的毛毛虫》是一本充满希望的书，它传递的信息是你会长大，并且用自己的才能去拥抱世界。当我还是一个孩子的时候，觉得自己永远都长不大，永远无法做大人能做的事情。成长对孩子而言，像一个秘密，可能会非常艰难，是充满未知和挑战的事情。我想帮助这些孩子们，也很高兴能对他们的世界产生这么大的影响”。 愿这只可爱的毛毛虫陪伴你家宝宝长大的同时，也陪你重新长大一次。 In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf. One Sunday morning the warm sun cam up... and POP, out of the egg came a tiny, very hungry caterpillar. He started looking for some food. On Monday he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry. On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry. On Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry. On Thursday he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry. On Friday he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry. On Saturday he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, One ice-cream cone, One pickle, One slice of Swiss cheese,The Very One slice of salami, One lollipop, One piece of cherry pie, One sausage, One cupcake, And one slice of watermelon. That night he had a stomach ache! The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice leaf, and after that he felt better. Now he wasn't hungry anymore--and he wasn't a little caterpillar anymore. He was a big fat caterpillar. He built a small house, Called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and... He became a beautiful butterfly!
