The Mid-Autumn Day has a long history in China.That day,we will eat mooncake and appreciate the moon.People eat mooncake which look like the moon.The moon in Mid-Autumn Day is quite round, beautiful and bright. In many places,if the weather is fine enough,people can walk at night without any other light, everything can be seen just with the moonlight. In ancient times,emperors would hold memorial ceremonies for the sun in Spring and for the moon in Autumn.
中秋节在中国有悠久的历史。这天，我们要吃月饼和赏月。人们要吃像月亮一样圆的月饼。中秋节这天的月亮又圆又亮，非常的美。在很多地方，如果天气好，人们可以不用任何照明工具在夜晚行走，月光照亮了一切事物。古代帝王有春天祭日，秋天祭月的礼制。
In Tang Dynasty,that custom to hold memorial ceremonies for the moon was valued much by people.And Mid-Autumn Day became a fixed festival from that time.During Ming and Qing Dynasty,it was improtant as New Year, becoming one of the main festivals in our country.
What’s more,legends about this festival are abundant,such as Chang’e Flies to the Moon, Wu Kang Chops Down the Cassia Tree,The Jade Rabbit Grinds Medicine,they are told by many people in folk.
