2019.05.10 Vanity （Lesson A）   1. I come from an ordinary family. My dad is an office clerk and my mom is a hairdresser, so we are not struggling financially, but at the same time we are not like super rich. 我来自一个普通的家庭。爸爸是一位办公室职员，妈妈是一位理发师，所以经济上我们过得并不拮据。但是同时，我们也不是超级富有。   2. Right after the class finished, a group of really cool looking girls walked up to me. Expensive branded clothing, confident slow-paced walk, I knew this type of girl was exactly the reason I didn’t want to transfer to this school. 下课后，一群外表很酷的女孩朝我走来。穿着昂贵名牌衣服，踩着自信缓慢的步伐，我知道，这样的女生正是我不想转入这个学校的原因。   3. Unfortunately, that one lie led to so many more. I had to create more lies in order to back up my original lie. I completely lost control over the situation and it made me feel so miserable. 可惜，一个谎言会引出更多的谎言。我不得不撒更多的谎言来圆之前的谎言。我完全失去了对局势的控制，这样我感觉非常难受。   4. The next day I gathered my friends together and told them the truth. It really wasn’t easy but it was worth it. They still wanted to be my friends. I was so happy to hear that. It was such a relief. 第二天，我把我的朋友聚集到一起，并且向他们告知了真相。这非常不容易，但却很值。他们依旧想做我的朋友。听到这些话我很开心，真得令我宽慰不少。   5. This silly story has taught me a lot of important lessons. First, stay true to yourself. Second, rich kids are not necessarily snobby. 这个愚蠢的故事教会了我很多重要的道理。首先，做真正的自己。其次，有钱人家的孩子不一定势力。
