Unlike my sister, I don't think too much. I always look out for fun. "How about taking a trip to the amusement park tomorrow? Would you go with me?" I ask Frosty.
"Let me see, " she says.
"Come on, don't worry too much. I just forgot how I got those tickets. There should be a lot of nice activities at the festival. By the way, it's the weekend; tomorrow is Sunday. Let's go, OK?" I really hope she will say yes.
"How long is the train ride from our town to the city?" asks Frosty.
"The city is about ninety miles away. A one-way trip takes about one hour and fifteen minutes. So it should not be a long journey," I say.
"Sounds great! All right, I will go with you," Frosty says, smiling at me.
The next morning we get up early. I can't wait to get started on our trip! It will be a short trip and we are going to return home this evening, so we don't need to pack our clothes. Instead, we want to bring some food with us.
I open my schoolbag and take out all my textbooks, a small dictionary, pencils and some colourful rubbers. I put popcorn and chocolates in the bag. Frosty adds some fresh strawberries and tomatoes. Mum also prepared a sandwich meal for us by mixing butter, cheese and salt with turkey meat.
"What is the weather today?" asks Frosty.
I open the door. The fresh air rushes into the room, but it is raining and foggy outside.
"I hope the weather will get better soon," says Frosty. We put on raincoats and walk outside the house.
It stops raining when we arrive at the local train station. The train is very old and looks like junk. Thanks to the train, we are 10 minutes late, but we are glad to see that the train is still waiting at the station.
The conductor wears a round hat and glasses. He looks at us while we are running towards the train. We take out wallets and show him our IDs and tickets in a hurry. After looking over our ID cards, the conductor says, "The train has been waiting for you."
The conductor's voice makes me think of someone. I often play video games with other people online. There is a person whose name is Shark. I've never met him in person, but I can clearly remember his voice. Is the conductor Shark?
"Goodbye, enjoy yourself at the park," the conductor says while we jump on the train. Then Frosty hears a strange voice , "Getting on the train, Mr. Gamer."
