Hiring Crows as Cleaners

These days, a French park has hired six trained crows to pick up rubbish, which has attracted more people’s attention. It’s definitely true that crows are really smart birds. Now, these birds with good talents and minds are given a job. Six crows have been trained to pick up rubbish in the park. When they put the rubbish that they find into a special container, they will find a treat in it for their hard efforts. The crows were given tasks for the first time over the weekend, and they’ll be working four days a week under close supervision — not for the birds, but to make sure visitors don’t drop litter on purpose to watch the birds clean it up. The aim of crow garbage collectors is not only to collect garbage but also to get visitors to think before they litter. “The purpose is also to educate people, to open their minds and to think. The crows are able to do something that we are much more able to do than them, so we should do this by ourselves,” said the park manager.
