介绍:
World Internet Conference Opens in Wuzhen From CRIENGLISH.com Reporter: Liu Qiangdong, founder and CEO of JD.com, one of China's largest e-commerce companies[中国最大的电子商务公司之一], talked about the role the internet will play in future business operations[企业管理,企业经营]. He says the internet should further integrate with[与…结合] traditional industries and promote their upgrade and transformation[升级改造]. "In my opinion, other than just working as a platform for traditional industries, the internet will infiltrate into[渗入…;渗进] these industries and integrate with[与…结合] them. The infiltration[渗透] will go deeper and deeper, thus helping to upgrade and transform[转型升级] these industries." Citing[引用,引证;举例] the manufacturing industry[制造业] in south China's Guangdong Province as an example, he pointed out the profit Chinese enterprises obtained was too small[中国企业获得的收益太少]. "For example, we took trips to Guangdong Province and thought about the situation of its huge manufacturing industry[制造业] in the Pearl River Delta[珠江三角洲] for two or three years. They used to process[加工] product parts[产品部件,产品零部件] for overseas companies. They exported productivity[生产力;生产率;生产能力] but the profit they gained was very little. Therefore how to convert the strong productivity of Guangdong Province into Chinese brands[中国品牌], how to increase the profit for the manufacturing industry[制造业], how to improve product quality[产品质量] so as to win customers' trust in Chinese brands and make them shop in China instead of going abroad are the tasks of Chinese internet enterprises." Echoing[呼应;回音;反照现象] his point, Ralph Haupter, chairman of Microsoft Greater China Region[微软大中华区], says the Internet gave the world a lot of opportunity of growth. "I think we see the opportunity of technology for prosperity of society[我们看到了技术让社会更加繁荣的机会], but at the same time, we understand that countries and sovereignty[国家和主权] needs to be a part of the way how Internet engages, so govern law being a part of way how the Internet get executed and run in a country. I think this is very important. Having sovereignty[主权;主权国家], I think, is very important for countries. For us, that's the guiding principle[指导原则] that we bring technology to market. And we think it's also a very, very important example how we bring technology to China." Haupter said Microsoft has brought in[带来;引进] Internet services under Chinese law. The company had an opportunity the last 20 plus years to participate, and somehow even foster[培养;养育,抚育], steer[控制,引导;驾驶], and inject[注入; 增添]growth. "I think the Chinese market is an exploding[激增,迅猛地发展,迅速扩张] market, that's based on pure size. But I would also say that's based on companies bringing in innovation here, which are respecting[尊敬;考虑] and reflecting[反射;表明;考虑] needs of the local markets." Official stats[官方统计数据] show China has more than 668 million Internet users, almost double the total population of the United States[几乎是美国总人口的两倍]. China has established the world's largest 4G network and is actively participating in creating 5G standards. For CRI, I'm Luo Bin.
