At some point during the surgical residency, most interns get a sense of who they are as doctors, and kind of surgeons are going to become, if you ask them,they will tell you.they are going to be General surgeons, Orthopedist surgeons, Neurosurgeons, the distinctions which do more then scrab their areas spectise, they help define who they are,because outside the operating room, not only most surgeons have no idea of who they are,they are afraid to find out. 从某种意义上来说，在外科实习期间，大部分实习医生都会了解到他们将会成为什么样的医生，他们会选哪一科。如果你去问他们，他们会告诉你，他们将会成为普外科医生，儿童外科医生，神经科医生，这其间的区别更加体现了他们领域的特殊性。这帮助他们定义自己，因为一旦出了手术室，大多数医生不仅完全不了解他们到底是谁，更不愿意找出答案。
