介绍:
Hey, it's Ryan from all in English department of the Beijing New Oriental again, first and foremost, I would like to wish everybody a happy Chinese New Year. Yesterday, in u.s., on the other side of the world, the super bowl sunday just kicked off. So, I figured I'd do a super bowl special in my show since the super bowl is as important to average Americans as the Chinese New Year gala by cctv to Us. However, my colleague has already had that topic covered yesterday. To avoid repetition, we are going to talk about something else today. So, how's your Chinese New Year Been going so far? Did you enjoy your Chinese New Year meal during your family reUnion. if you had, do you find it hard to resist the temptation of all the delicious food. are you concerned with all the extra calories that you take in during your feast? If you were, then you are in the right place, because I ll share with you guys a few tricks to keep your body in shape in the holiday season. Well, to start off, you want to keep your holiday diet in check. I don't mean you need to deprive yourself of the holiday food. What I mean is that you should avoid the holiday food rampage in which you devour all kinds of food you come across on the dinner table. Be selective and disciplined during your family reunion dinner, try to start your meal with fruits and vegetables so that you don't leave much room for food with high calories and fat. remember your life will not be incomplete just because you have missed the seemingly delicious food that brings you few benefits. For instance, fried chicken. Another thing I want to mention about food selection is that you might want to regulate your carbohydrate intake by Reducing the intake of starchy foods such as potatoes, rice and noddles. Appropriate amount of Carbohydrate brings us the energies that our body needs to perform daily activities, if we don't engage in a lot of physical activities that consumes the energies, then that extra will be stored as fat in our body, in other words, that is how we gain weight without seeing growth in our muscle. Lastly but not least important, maintaining an one hour cardio workout is a must if you want your weight to stay where it is right now next time you stand on a scale after the Chinese New Year. Don't give yourself the excuse like "I am too busy or I am too tired to workout", don't fool yourself, you know that is not the case. Don't tell me that you have the time to follow all the lame soap operas on tv but you just don't have one hour to spare to make yourself look presentable. That just doesn't make sense So, above are some of the tips on keeping fit during this holiday season. As always I would like to hear about your opinions and thoughts on this matter, again, I want to stress that your comments need to be relevant. This Ryan, peace out
