哈利波特与死亡圣器 ， The 3 magical and powerful objects, the Elder Wand, Resurrection Stone and Cloak of Invisibility, are so powerful ,but you’ll always have to use them well.
死亡圣器共包含三件物品： Elder wand 长老魔杖， Resurrection Stone 还魂石，Cloak of Invisibility 隐形斗篷。一旦拥有这三个物件，你就能主导生死了，但是加以善用。
Now let’s listen to Hermione Granger about the 2nd half of the story of 3 brothers.
The first brother traveled to a distant village where, with the Elder Wand in hand, he killed a wizard with whom he had once quarreled.
Distant a.遥远的 quarrel v. 争吵
Drunk with the power that the Elder Wand had given him, he bragged of his invincibility.
Brag v. 吹嘘 invincibility n. 没有敌手，无敌。
But that night, another wizard stole the wand and slit the brother's throat for good measure.
一天晚上， 有个巫师偷走了魔杖，杀死了三兄弟中的老大
And so Death took the first brother for his own.
这样死神成功地收回了老大的性命。
The second brother journeyed to his home where he took the stone and turned it thrice in hand.
Journey v. 赶路 thrice n. 三次
To his delight, the girl he'd once hoped to marry before her untimely death appeared before him.
Delight a. 高兴的 untimely death 过早的死去了 appear v. 出现
Yet, soon she turned sad and cold for she did not belong in the mortal world.
但是, turn v. 变化，转变， sad and cold 哀伤，凄冷 for 因为 mortal world 凡人的世界
Driven mad with hopeless longing, the second brother killed himself so as to join her.
hopeless longing 无望的渴望 –渴望与失望，drive v. 使某人怎样， 此处为被动语态。 Driven –被渴望与失望逼疯了。 So as to join her 为了能和女孩在一起，他自杀了。
And so Death took the second brother.
死神又拿到了 老二的性命。
As for the third brother, Death searched for many years but was never able to find him.
As for 至于 search v. 找寻，寻找
Only when he attained a great age, the youngest brother shed the Cloak of Invisibility and gave it to his son.
Attain v. 到达 shed v. 脱下
He then greeted Death as an old friend and went with him gladly, departing this life as equals.
Greet v. 打招呼， depart v. 离开，
Now let’s listen again without pauses.
There are huge contrasts between these brothers, just look how they ended up, you may think twice about what to do with them if you had the Deathly Hallows.
有的时候太抱有目的做某事，反倒可能会无法如愿以偿。
Great power comes with great responsibility. 能力越大，责任越大，危险也就更多。
When they came to Harry Potter, when he became the owner of the Deathly Hallows, what did he do ?
